Start Care: Free In-Home Care Consultation in Pasadena

Asking for a free in-home care consultation in Pasadena starts with one phone call to (626) 678-8826 or a short request through the form. We come to you: a team member visits the home to learn what your loved one and your family need.

You don't need to have it all figured out first. Tell us what is getting harder at home, and we'll help you work out the rest together.

How to ask for help

There are two easy ways to begin:

  • Call (626) 678-8826Care managers can be reached 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so a late-evening worry doesn't have to wait.
  • Send the contact formOn this page, and the office will follow up with you.

Please keep medical history and diagnoses off the form. We'll talk through your loved one's needs on the phone and at the visit instead.

We support families in English, Korean, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese, so you can ask for help in the language you are most comfortable with.

What happens at the free in-home assessment

The first assessment is free. A staff member comes to the home to understand the care your loved one and family need, and to answer your questions on the spot.

From there, our five-step approach looks like this:

  • Care profileWe ask about your wishes, then do a basic needs and environment assessment at home.
  • Care planWe write a person-centered plan around routines and preferences, review it with you in detail, and change it as you see fit.
  • Caregiver matchWe consider interests, personalities and the services needed. All caregivers are screened, including background and reference checks, and are bonded/insured.
  • Care begins, with detailed notes after each visit.
  • Ongoing supportSupervisory staff make periodic visits, and we adjust care when needs change.

What to have ready when you call

Nothing formal is required. It helps if you can describe, in your own words:

  • who needs help, and where they live
  • which parts of the day are hardest, such as bathing, meals, getting around or being alone
  • the days and times you imagine needing support
  • who in the family should receive updates

We suggest agreeing on an authorized family contact and how you'd like to hear from us before service begins.

A start date depends on the assessment and on staffing. We'll give you the earliest date we can offer when we talk. Questions about the visit schedule are welcome on the first call.

Our services are non-medical home care. Nursing or clinical treatment needs an appropriate healthcare provider.
